With large numbers of Americans unemployed, unethical and crooked digital rainmakers exploit the influence of online job portals and searches by engaging applicants with bogus work at home offers. The scammers' sophisticated campaigns include providing links to very reputable digital sites in an attempt to portray credibility. They may even prepare legitimate looking emails with fake signature credentials and copied logos. These savvy digital scam artists adopt many best practices in digital and social media marketing, but their intentions are misguided and aimed to prey on those using the power of the Internet to find their next job.
