One-Click Content Sharing

With so many social networks to update, sharing interesting content published on websites and social media pages can often be difficult and time consuming. And since sharing great content is critical for viral success, many brand marketers have paid special attention to making sharing of their content easier. With a rich array of music videos, entertainment programming and news, MTV Networks (MTVN) recently implemented Janrain Engage to give its website visitors one log-in across the network of more than 50 properties, as well as the ability to share articles, site comments and video clips with friends on multiple social networks and sites including Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. This makes sharing of MTV's rich content easy for consumers, who don't have to visit individual social networks to share, repost interesting content. After about six weeks into deployment across seven of its sites, including TeenNick.com and VH1.com, MTVN has seen positive trends and it plans to extend the deployment across other channels throughout 2011. Janrain claims the technology now increases MTVN's sharing referral rate by twelve times. That means 12 additional clicks occur for the sharing of just one post. MTVN is part of a growing list of entertainment companies adopting Janrain's social network sharing platform. They include EMI Music, Warner Music and Terra Networks.
